If he's not crazy he's ridiculous — which is worse". 4 - Dated letter from Porto, August 1863 (double folio, 1 p.), without a recipient, thanking for a poem. 5 - Letter (with envelope) dated from Quinta. From S. Miguel de Seide, July 7, 1868 (double folio, 2 p.), addressed to José Bento d'Araújo Assis, thanking him for the dedication of a book. 6 - Letter dated June 27, 1870 (1 p.), addressed to Pereira Caldas(?). "I am returning your books.
