Obra mestra Gaspar Estaço (1563-1626), humanista natural de Évora, irmão de Baltasar Estaço, cónego de da Colegiada de Santa Maria
da Oliveira, em Guimarães foi protegido do cardeal D. Henrique. Inclui informações históricas e corográficas sobre a Igreja portuguesa,
a fundação da nacionalidade, numerosas localidades (Lisboa, Porto, Braga, Guimarães), etc. Nas últimas 52 páginas inclui, com rosto
próprio, mas sem pé de imprensa, um Tratado da linhagem dos Estaços.... Exemplar um pouco aparado, com alguma acidez
e manuseamento. Encontra-se, contudo, completo e sólido. Encadernação inteira de carneira, um pouco cansada, provavelmente

Masterpiece by Gaspar Estaço (1563-1626), humanist natural of Évora, brother of Baltasar Estaço, canon of the Collegiate Church of
Santa Maria da Oliveira in Guimarães, was protected by Cardinal D. Henrique. It includes historical and chorographic information about
the Portuguese Church, the foundation of nationality, numerous localities (Lisbon, Oporto, Braga, Guimarães), etc. In the last 52 pages
it includes, with its own title page, but without press notice, a Treated of the lineage of the Estaços .... A slightly trimmed copy with
some acidity and handling. It is, however, complete and solid. ENtire calf binding, slightly fatigued, probably already of 18th century.
