feitos dos membros mais ilustres da Companhia de Jesus, da responsabilidade do padre Patrignani (1659-1733), historiador da ordem,
constituída por quatro grossos volumes, com um total superior a 3.000 páginas e 1.500 notícias. De entre os biografados salientam-
se numerosos padres portugueses e muitos missionários do Novo Mundo e do Oriente. Carimbos da Quinta das Lágrimas, de
Coimbra. Exemplar limpo e por aparar, revestido de encadernações da época inteiras de papelão, muito bem conservadas.

Edição original de um tratado de gastronomia e culinária, publicado sem o nome do autor (ca.1777-1859), como resposta à célebre Physiologie
du goût, de Brillat-Savarin, que aparecera 14 anos antes. A obra, organizada em forma de dicionário, foi reeditada em 1853 e 1866,
com o título um pouco modificado. Exemplar levemente aparado e com ligeira acidez, mas limpo. Encadernação da época,
inteira de carneira, um pouco ressequida

Original edition of a treatise on gastronomy and cuisine, published
without the author’s name (ca.1777-1859), in response to Brillat-
Savarin’s celebrated Physiologie du goût which appeared 14 years
earlier. The work, organized in the form of a dictionary, was
reissued in 1853 and 1866, with the title somewhat modified.
Slightly trimmed and with a slight acidity copy but clean. Entire
calf binding of the time a little parched.
