Extensive handwritten letter addressed to the Baron Count of Alvito with instructions regarding the conduct of the Army, on the eve of the arrival in Portugal of the Count of Lippe. Fernando José Lobo da Silveira Quaresma (1727-1778), Baron, Count and 3rd Marquis of Alvito, was a Field Marshal and Lieutenant-General of the Portuguese Army. Entirely handwritten document, dated June 7, 1762, signed Joseph. It retains a cover with a summary and indication: "Carta escripta pela Real Maõ d’ElRey D. Jozé...", Bundle 14. Num. 15.
