Set composed of 36 entirely autographed documents, most of which are notes addressed to the 2nd Marquis and 1st Duke of Loulé, Nuno José Severo de Mendoça Rolim de Moura Barreto (1804-1875); one to the 1st Duke of Terceira, António José de Sousa Manuel e Menezes Severim de Noronha (1792-1860) and three to the Duchess of Terceira D. Maria Ana Filomena de Mendoça (1808-1866). Most of the notes are of a short, private nature and undated; only four dated 1835 and one from 1847. Some retain their respective envelopes and part of the wax seals. Autograph signatures: Maria. The set sewn on the line, on stubs, probably detached from a miscellany of documents.
