João of Braganza, as prince regent (3) and king (1), informs the Marquis of Abrantes, D. Pedro de Lancastre da Silveira de Castelo-Branco Sá e Meneses (1762-1828) of the births of his children, respectively, D. Isabel Maria (1801), D. Miguel (1802) and D. Maria da Assunção (1805); the fourth letter (signed Rey), reports the birth, in Rio de Janeiro, of his granddaughter D. Maria da Glória (1819), future queen D. Maria II. Documents (bifolios with the second blank page) dated Lisbon, 4 July 1801, 26 October 1802, 25 June 1805 and 4 April 1819. Autograph signatures: Prince (3) and King (1). The last three documents retain their plate seals.
