João II in response to a request from the municipality of Oliveira do Conde, due to the dispute that the residents had with Nuno Martins da Silveira, lord of the land, regarding what they were obliged to pay him. The king orders Fernão Lourenço, knight of his House, clerk of the Treasury, receiver and factor of the Guinea Trades and chief guard of the Torre do Tombo, to search in the deeds where “foy achado no almairo dos propios del Rey dom Afonso conde de belonha huum liuro de purgaminho em o quall estaua o forall d’olveira do conde e do que aviam de pagar”. The transcript does not contain the charter, but only an excerpt from an inquiry ordered by King D. Afonso III. Document dated Lisbon, 7 August 1485. Autograph signatures: Fernão Lourenço, chief guard of the Torre do Tombo; Rui Lopes de Veiros, clerk. On the back, stain where the plaque seal was affixed (missing).
