Remarkable contemporary binding, fully “vieux rouge” shagreen with two elaborate plant ornamental borders on the covers and closed gold panels on the spine; in the centre of both covers, engraved in gold, the coat of arms of Portugal; roll on the thickness of the sides and on the edge gilt; retains the original marbled paper endpapers.
