The title page, printed in black and red, features a copperplate print with the coat of arms of Pope Clement XI (1700-1723). The work, a detailed manual of the bishops' liturgy, is illustrated with 65 small xilographies (±9x11 cm) and one full page, representing various ceremonies; It also includes some pages with musical notation. Disjointed but complete copy, covered in a remarkable contemporary binding, full “vieux rouge” sheepskin, a little worn and disjointed (but recoverable), with elaborate gold decoration on the covers and spine and gilt edges; in the centre of both covers, engraved in gold, episcopal coat of arms with a blank shield (not filled in); worn spine, with weak joints; retains the original marbled paper endpapers.
