Original edition illustrated with 32 intaglio (taille-douce) engravings portraying aspects of the horse anatomy. Slightly handled copy, lacking engraving VI (Represents the bones of the hind leg and foot, both single and united); engraving III with marginal imperfections. Some marginal handwritten notes and random ink stains. Entire calf binding of the time, fatigued but solid and recoverable.
