We are pleased to present to you the catalogue of our auction 180 dedicated to Antiques and Works of Art with a core of Modern and Contemporary Art.
Four sessions, to be held on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of July 2016. Part of the second session dedicated to Modern and Contemporary Art (lots 501 to 591); the third session dedicated to silverware and jewellery; and the fourth session dedicated to Portuguese Vista Alegre porcelain pieces.
About 1900 lots of Antiques and Works of Art spanning nearly every area of the antique trade of which stand out the Portuguese Vista Alegre porcelain, represented by the couple of Partridges, flagship biscuit sculpture that illustrates the cover (lot 1633) as well as furniture, painting, religious art, faïence, porcelain and oriental art, glass and crystal, carpets, watches and multiple objects of decoration such as the large hourglass (lot 1001).
About 90 lots of Modern and Contemporary art including names like António Saura (cover, lot 568), Justino Alves, Eduardo Anahory, Jorge Barradas, Gonzalez Bravo, Artur Bual, Manuel Cargaleiro, Noronha da Costa, Luís Feito, Lima de Freitas, Matilde Marçal, Ricardo Paula, Raul Perez, Costa Pinheiro, Julião Sarmento, Francis Smith, Nikias Skapinakis, among others.
