We are pleased to present to you the catalogue of our auction 173 dedicated to Antiques and Works of Art with Modern and Contemporary Art.~

Three sessions on the 16th, 17th and 18th of November, 2015. The first part of the second session, November 17, dedicated to Modern and Contemporary Art (lots 551 to 623); the third session integrating the silverware and jewellery.

1578 lots of Antiques and Works of Art spanning virtually every area of the antique trade, namely furniture, painting, religious art, stoneware and ceramic tiles, porcelain and oriental art, glassware and crystal, carpets, clocks, wine and multiple decorative objects of which stands out the 20th C. (1st half) French bronze and coloured glass Art DecoTable Lamp which illustrates the cover (lot 415).

Modern and Contemporary Art is represented through 72 lots, including the names of Sá Nogueira (cover, Lot 584), Nadir Afonso, Artur Bual, Siep van den Berg, Leonid Berman, René Bertholo, Pedro Calapez, Cargaleiro, Lourdes de Castro, Noronha da Costa, Delfim Maya, Eduardo Luiz, Ricardo Paula, Mily Possoz, Bela Silva, Nikias Skapinakis, Ana Vidigal, João Vieira.

Finally, a reference to the most recent publication by our partner SCRIBE - "Houses of the Elites of Lisbon - objects, interiors and experiences", a study by Carlos Franco, focused on Lisbon between 1750 and 1830 which studies the major changes and the new models implemented during this period, announcing the lifestyles and the contemporary Lisbon houses.
