A Coffee Pot, silver, wooden handle with traces of polychrome, gadrooned and relief decoration, four feet high "Claws", Calcutta hallmark (1811-1971), Hamilton & Cº maker's mark, Anglo-Indian, wooden handle in bad condition note: Hamilton & cº Goldsmiths was founded in Calcutta in 1808, by Robert Hamilton (1772-1848), at 5 Tank Square, moving to 7 Court House Street in 1811, where it stayed until its closure in 1973. In 1811 the society Robert Hamilton, Henry and James Glazbrook was founded and in 1833-1836 opened branches in Mumbai followed by Delhi and Simla in 1865.
