The author, who we know little about, should not to be confused with his father and homonym (1754-1848), English writer, poet and collector, who was part of the circle of friends of William Blake and to whom the work is usually attributed. Very clean copy, with good margins, signed by the author after the index end that contains the imprint. Modern full green morocco binding, with some dampstains, gilt compartments on spine, and gilt edges.
