Francis Nicholson (1753-1844), English painter, portrait painter, watercolorist, best known for the illustrations to the book "The beauties of England and Wales', published in 18 volumes between 1801 and 1815. Rev. James Bulwer (1794-1879), English collector, naturalist, traveler and drawer, spent some time in Spain and Portugal (1825-1826) and particularly in Madeira. The edition consists of a lithographed cover (bifolio) and three hand-colored lithographs, printed by the chine-collée technique "(270x340 mm ±.). Recent binding with leather spine, keeping the original paper covers very fresh.
