(end), faded marks Notes: the present salver is referenced and reproduced in SANTOS, Reynaldo dos; QUILHÓ, Irene - "Ourivesaria Portuguesa nas Colecções Particulares", 2nd Edition revised and expanded, Lisbon, 1974, pp. 203-204, where is described in the following terms: "Semicircular imbricate themes suggesting arbutus bedridden on small leafs. The central medallion, screwed to the plate, is composed by a rosette framed by a cord and involved in a frieze of braided logs and a strip of waving thistles". Also mentioned in "Exposição de Ourivesaria Portuguesa e Francesa", Fundação Ricardo Espírito Santo Silva, 1955, p. 33, nº 33, fig. 22.
