A primeira parte contem 39 águas-tintas coloridas
à mão, representando, sobretudo, trajos populares e vistas de cidades. A segunda inclui 13
Tooley, 108.

24 p.: [13] gravuras coloridas; 37 cm.- E. Reverend William Bradford (1780-1857) was a military chaplain and accompanied the forces of Wellington
in the Peninsular War Campaign against Napoleon’s troops; his drawings were improved and engraved by J. Clark to illustrate one of the most
beautiful books about Portugal and Spain published in the 19th century. A variant of the 1810 edition. The first part contains 39 hand-coloured
aquatints, mainly depicting popular costumes and city views. The second one includes 13 coloured aquatints with Portuguese, French and Spanish
military uniforms (the copy apparently lacks the 10 text pages with their own title, that come before the military engravings but lacking in
many other copies). The text is bilingual in English and French. The engravings comply exactly with the índex. Buffalo skin recent half-binding
with protective case. Duarte de Sousa, 102. Tooley, 108.
