O autor (1648-1714), carmelita calçado, doutor em Teologia
e provincial da Ordem, deixou-nos também alguns sermões.
A obra, muito cuidada graficamente, abre com um frontispício
alegórico, gravado a talhe-doce, assinado Clente. B. (Clemente
Bilingue) descrito por Ernesto Soares (História, 336).
Inclui ainda uma grande vinheta com as armas de Portugal
no início do antelóquio (p. 1, f. A1). Encadernação da época,
inteira de carneira (recuperada e com guardas novas),
apresentando no plano superior a marca de posse (super-libros)
SALZEDAS, gravada a ouro.

The author (1648-1714), carmelita, doctor of Theology and
provincial of the order, left us also some sermons. The work,
graphically very careful, opens with an allegorical frontispiece,
intaglio engraved (taille douce) signed Clente. B. (Clemente
Bilingue) described by Ernesto Soares (history, 336). It also
includes a large sticker bearing the coat of arms of Portugal at
the beginning of prologue (p. 1, f. A1). Entire calf binding of
the time (restored and with new guards), showing on the upper
paln the possession mark (supra libros) SALZEDAS, gold engraved.
