Notes: vd. VIDAL, Manuel Gonçalves; ALMEIDA, Fernando Moitinho de - "Marcas de Contrastes e Ourives Portugueses (1887 a 1993)", vol. II. Lisbon: IN-CM, 1996, nº 67 and 635. The Portuguese Infanta Antonia Augusta of Braganza, who married Leopold, Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen in 1861, visited Portugal in 1887, as a widow. This visit may coincide with the manufacture of this salver, as it bears the "Boar" hallmark, introduced that same year.
