First edition, especially appreciated for being the first work to refer to the disaster of the Invincible Armada sent against England (cf. Chap. II, f. 142r et seq.: Mayor maravilla es que una armada grande y poder, y que parece invincible...) justifying the failure with theological and moral arguments. Copy a little trimmed, with some browning on the first four pages, but generally clean; title page with rough restoration on the back of the upper margin; small marginal wormholes affecting about 50 sheets (sections G to N), without damaging the text.
