ALBUM HÉRALDIQUE.- [Monogramas e fotografias].- Século XIX (ca. 1880).- 23 f.; 29 cm.- E. Album of memories of the Family and Royal House, consisting of a title page with the title in chromolithography and 22 pages (only 19 filled) with ingenious passepartouts, containing 11 photographs of members of the Royal Family (from Queen D. Maria II to the Countess of Edla) and around 500 monograms and letterheads engraved in various colours, most of them crowned, of the Portuguese nobility, in original graphic arrangements. Most of the letterheads and monograms will have certainly been cut with scissors from envelopes, stationery and letterhead tickets. All are identified with the names of the holders, in small handwritten letters; 13 “windows” and three pages are not filled in. Album covered with contemporary binding, full red morocco, featuring, on the front cover, an intricate brass monogram that is difficult to decipher.
