LOUREIRO, Adolfo Ferreira de.- Os portos marítimos de Portugal e Ilhas Adjacentes.- Lisboa: Imprensa Nacional, 1904-1910.- 5 vols. em 7 de texto; 24 cm. + 5 vols. em 2 de atlas; 32 cm.- E Adolfo Loureiro (1836-1911), engineer, soldier, politician, writer and bibliophile, born in Coimbra, in addition to other works, was the author of projects to improve the ports of Lisbon, Leixões, Macau, Funchal, Horta, Ponta Delgada and São Vicente (Cape Verde). Complete set, consisting of five volumes of text, bound in seven (volume III consists of three parts) and five atlases of chromolithographed prints, bound in two volumes. The five atlases comprise a total of 74 folding prints (plus two). The text volumes are slightly cropped with occasional slight browning; volume III, part II, missing the title page. Prints in general well folded, some with tears in the folds (no lack of support), occasionally repaired with masking tape; rare with traces of lepisma work on the outer margins. Simple bindings, with leather spines and kraft endpapers.
