Leão de São Tomás (1574-1651) was abbot general of the Benedictine Monastery of Tibães, having started the construction of the respective church, which was only completed in 1661. The two volumes show the following collation: I - [8], 566, [38] p.; II - [8], 519, [1] p. The first volume presents a beautiful intaglio-engraved portrait of St. Benedict on the verso of the third folio. The second volume includes an alphabetical catalogue of the coats of arms of the kingdom's nobility, comprising 310 families. Copy slightly cropped with slight browning but complete and, in general, clean, preserving the rare portrait. Handwritten ownership on the title page of the second volume: Do uzo do Pe. Fr.
