The author (1610-ca. 1680), a Spanish Capuchin religious, traveled through South America and Africa. His work summarizes the “History of Ethiopia” by Friar Baltasar Teles and Job Ludolfo's “História Etiópica”, adding unpublished news of what happened from 1672 to 1704, with special emphasis on the action of Capuchin missionaries in Abyssinia. Copy a little cropped (especially to the top), slightly handled and with some browning; treated title page with minor restorations on the outer margin; small ink smudges on the first 10 sheets.
