Work published without the author's name (ca. 1740-ca. 1805), a secular priest, beneficiary of the Patriarchal of Lisbon, the city where he was born. Very clean copy, especially notable for being covered with an excellent contemporary binding, entirely in vieux rouge shagreen, very slightly worn, with gold ornamental borders in chains, in the covers, closed panels on the spine, rolls in the thickness of the folders and the gilt edges; preserves the original endpapers in marbled paper; in the centre of both covers, gold engraved, the coat of arms of Portugal. Taking into account the quality of the binding, it is reasonable to attribute the origin of the copy to a high dignitary of the court or the Patriarchal, close to the author.
