Edition published without the name of the author, of whom we only know to have been ancien receveur des Fermes du Roi. The collation of the two volumes is as follows: Tome premier - [4], 615, [1] p.: 5 maps (4 unfolds), engravings I to VII; Tome second - [4], 618, [1, 1 br.] p.: engravings VIII to XII, 2 unfolded maps. Complete copy, with all maps and engravings well placed, according to the respective indexes (I, p. 571 and II, p. 560). The maps, neatly folded, represent: Martinique, St. Domingue, Guadaloupe, l'Isle Vache, Cayenne, Louisianne and Côtes de Guinée. The prints represent plants, indigenous customs, sugar, cotton and tobacco manufactures and a slave market. Light browning and slight marginal (tidal) stains on the last 30 leaves of the second volume. For the rest, a clean copy, lined with full sheepskin period bindings, slightly worn, with carmine edges, keeping the original marbled paper endpapers. Sabin, 11814.
