The so-called Vincentian ordinances were ordered by D. João V and directed by the jurisconsult Jerónimo da Silva. The collation of each of the volumes is as follows. vol. I: First book - [8], 544 p.; vol. II Second book - [4], 167, [1 br.] p.; Third book - [4], 162 p.; vol. III: Fourth book - [6], 124 p.; Fifth book - [6], 340 p. The first book does not include the engraved allegorical title, which is sometimes found at the beginning. First 20 sheets of the first book, with slight stains on the outside margin. Occasional marginal notes, certainly by the hand of a jurist of the time. For the rest, an exceptionally clean copy with very generous margins.
