(Madrid): A costa de la viuda de Iuan Valdès, s.d. [1638?].- [11], 285 f.: 1 gravura; 30 cm.- E. Second printing of the compilation of the arguments from the Spanish Crown against the claims of Louis XIV of France to the Netherlands, under the tutelage of Spain at the time, after the death of Philip IV. Francisco Ramos Del Manzano (1604-1683), jurist and statesman, was its author. The edition includes na engraved allegory title page, preceded by a tipographed front page with indication of the second printing (probably na insertion). Excepting the front page, all the remaining text is similar to the first edition. Ex-libris pasted on the back cover: Ex Bibliotheca Congr. Oratorii Sp. Sancti E.N.C.; Ownership manuscript of the Congregation of the Oratory in LIsbon on the lower margin of the front page. The seconf part of the volume with water stain increasing till the end; last leaves with moisture damages, but secured and without fungi. Flexible vellum binding of the time. Palau, 24795.

Jorge de Cabedo (+ circa 1640), a Jurist born in Setúbal, was an appellate judge desembargador of the Royal Palace and chancellor of the realm. The work, printed on two columns, although in Latin, integrates many notes and extensive transcripts and information in vernacular. Ownership manuscript on the cover page and radom marginal annotations of the time. Slightly trimmed copy but clean. Entire calf binding of the time, slightly fatigued and with new guards. Gabriel, S.J.- Histoire de la Milice Françoise, et des changements qui s’y sont faits depuis l’établissement de la Monarchie Françoise dans les Gaules, jusqu’à la fin du Gégne de Louis Le Grand.- A Amsterdam: aux depens de la Compagnie, 1724.- 2 vols.: il.; 25 cm.- E. Gabriel Daniel (1649-1728), a French Jesuit and historian, a native of Rouen, with a vast active bibliography of religious and philosophical themes (anti-Jansenism), achieved his greatest literary success in the present Histoire de la Milice Françoise, represented here in his Second edition (the first dates from 1721), as well as in his Histoire de France (1713), which edition of 1755-60 would be enlarged to 17 volumes. The collation of each of the volumes is as follows: I - [32], 448 p .: 48 grav .; II - [16], 552 p .: 22 grav. It includes, therefore, a total of 70 intaglio engravings representing military, strongholds, boats, light and heavy weapons, war machines, etc. A copy with some acidity, sometimes strong, but full and solid, covered with entire calf bindings of the time, slightly fatigued. Set of 168 documents addressed to the judges, councilors and prosecutors of the city of Beja
six of which were printed (royal laws and permits) and the remaining manuscripts, eight of which were signed by high court officials (and one admiral); 145 are from the 17th century, 16 from the 18th century and only one from the 19th century; the documents were bound, probably at the end of the 19th century or beginning of the 20th century., Portuguese, from 17th C. to the 19th C. Entire spotted calf binding, almost loose from top edge; with the exception of two documents that have been restored and have lost support, the rest are in very good preservation state, some still preserving the sheet metal seals

First French translation of the work of Giannone (1676-1748), Italian jurisconsult and historian, born in Ischitella (Foggia), from which the temporary excommunication of the author and his inclusion in the Index would result. The original edition was published in Naples in 1723. The collation of the four volumes is as follows: volume I: [2], XXVIII, 656 p .: 1 portrait; volume II: [2], VIII, 755 p .; volume III: [2], VIII, 746 p .; volume IV: [2], VIII, 684 p. The first volume is illustrated with a portrait of the author "ad vivum", engraved by Jeremias Jacolb Sedelmayr (1701-1761). Set with good margins, occasional slight moisture spots with slightly fatigued entire calf bindings of the time. Ex-libris by Aníbal Fernandes Thomaz (in the four volumes) and storage tag on the back cover with the inscription D. Rodrigo de Souza Coutº. (only in volume I). Brunet, II, col. 1584.
