French General, born in Saint-Remy, the author (1645-1716) was grand master of artillery under Louis XIV. The work, published initially in 1692, was considered mandatory reference in the matter throughout the 18th century. The agenda of each one of the volumes is as follows: I-[16], LXIV, 338 p.: 1 engraved front, 1 picture, 59 engravings; II-[16], 400 p.: 106 engravings; III-[12], 468, [38] p.: 43 engravings. The total of engravings is 210, being 40 leaflets, some of large dimensions. Slight acidity at the beginning of the first volume; Tomo II with water and moisture stains (tidal stains) on the bottom half of the last 120 sheets, affecting some etchings, four of which exhibit smaller restoration on the back. Ownership manuscripts of the time on the three volumes: François de la Tour en Voivre. Complete Copy with all the engravings neatly folded, binding of the time, entire calf, fatigued, with signs of bookworm work the on spines.
