Francisco de Castro (1574-1653), son of Álvaro de Castro, Principal of the University of Coimbra, Bishop of Guarda and Inquisitor General. The illuminated blue and gold initial O (faded). Document slighty handled and worn. Preserves, however, the ribbon of green silk and a rare wooden wedge terminating the wax seal, with the coat of arms of the Inquisition.
