The Architectural project for Villa Sotto Mayor (Sotto Mayor Palace in Lisbon) NOGUEIRA, Engeneer António Rodrigues.- Villa Sotto Mayor/draft of A. Drawings signed: the engineer António Rodrigues Nogueira. The so called Sotto Mayor Palace was built between 1902 and 1906 for the banker Cândido Sotto Mayor in a land located in the rising side of Fontes Pereira de Melo Avenue. The initial drawing was the responsibility of the Architec Ezequiel Bandeira, with collaboration of Architect Carlos Alberto Correia Monção. The final draft was signed by army engineering Captain António Rodrigues Nogueira. Currently in the Culture Heritage classifying process, the building is refurbished and is part of a complex that includes, in addition to the Palace, a hotel, a gym, offices and a parking lot.
