DIOGO DE TEIVE - 1514-1569 Diogo de Teive (c. 1514-c. 1570), poet and humanist, born in Braga, connoisseur of classical languages, was one of the first Portuguese to get a scholarship to study in Paris. Copy presents in the projection guard, the autograph signature of Oliveira Salazar, dated 1970 (the year of his death), although it did not belong to the statesman. Lightly trimmed copy but very clean, binding of the time, or a little later, with interesting dry work on the plans and rebuilt spine.
