L'Évêque Henry (1769-1832), born in Geneva, painter, miniaturist, watercolorist and above all engraver, was part of a group of artists who, after the French Revolution, wandered through Europe following the armies on campaign, registering for posterity the most famous battles of the Napoleonic Wars. Engravings with very minor foxing, almost always confined to the margins. Modern full dark blue chagrin binding, gilt decorated, with multiple borders, flaunting at the center of the surfaces the imperial arms of Napoleon Bonaparte and small eagles at the corners of the central panel repeated in the spine compartments.
