A JULES JÜRGENSEN Pocket Watch, three gold cases (18 kt.), the two exterior ones guilloche n.º 154, one including the inside, Copenhagen city mark, chronometer mechanical movement n.º 154, gauge patent of 1867, numbered 54321 and 12345, Danish, supplier of the Royal Danish House Note: since 1740, while watchmaker to the court, Urban Jurgensen designed elegant watches with Swiss precision pieces, associating the Jurgensen name to the highest levels of quality, design and ingenuity. After the grandfather's death in 1811, the third generation obtains the financing of the Danish Court to improve the Navy's chronograph system, which involved many trips to Switzerland. With the accumulation of such knowledge they achieved 32 international awards for design and manufacturing quality. The Company was sold in 1974 to an American distributor.
