AUTÓGRAFOS.- RÉGIO, José (1901-1969).- Cartas autógrafas.- Século XX (1928-1931).- 10 documentos Ten extensive, apparently unpublished, handwritten letters addressed to Raúl Leal (1886-1964), writer, occultist, and poet, born in Lisbon, contributor to the magazine Orpheu, one of the introducers of Futurism in Portugal; his book "Sodoma divinizada" (1923) was one of three editions published by Fernando Pessoa's Olisipo publishing house that sparked the controversy between February and May 1923, involving, on one side, himself and Fernando Pessoa, and on the other, the Lisbon Students' Action League, led by Pedro Teotónio Pereira, with the support of the Catholic Church's newspaper "A Época". The letters are dated between January 1928 and February 1931 (one undated), addressing literary matters, notably Raúl Leal's collaboration with the magazine Presença (three on Presença letterhead). Letters signed by José Régio, retaining their respective envelopes.
