Large-scale graphic edition, illustrated with a portrait of the dedicatee Charles III (p. [3]), a portrait of Philip IV (p. 318), dated 1697 and 16 copperplate prints, 15 of which are fold-out, the last of which is a detailed plan of the monastery, with an extensive explanation on the previous page. Slightly cropped copy, with occasional minor restorations on the verso of some engravings, which are all well folded. Second sheet with reconstituted outer margin. Title page with ancient and sealing ownership: Dos Limpos(?) Pimenteis Sancas(?) and extensive ownership inscription on the back (difficult to read): This work is by the Archdeacon of Oviedo... Modern ownership on the free endpaper: Canon Abel Martins - Evora - 1872 - C = 2,800 Rs. Otherwise, a complete and clean copy, with no notable defects. Contemporary binding, full sheepskin, with signs of worm holes at the foot and head and missing of free endpapers in marbled paper; carminated edges. Palau, 376974.
