Issue no. 3 of the special edition of 1945, printed on Van Gelder paper and signed by King D. Manuel II in the first two volumes (the third is posthumous). Bilingual edition, with a high graphic standard, limited to 698 copies, printed in two columns in black and red. The third volume has an autograph inscription: To Antonio Tavares de Carvalho, from Margery Withers who has had the great pleasure at last of meeting him. 13th July, 1995. Miss Withers (1905-1999) was D. Manuel's personal secretary and responsible for the publication of the third volume of “Livros antigos portugueses”, in 1935.
