First edition of the author's second book and one of the rarest, still published under his real name. Miguel Torga (1902-1995) published his first four books under his real name: Ansiedade; (1928), Rampa; (1930), Pão ázimo; (1931) and Abismo; (1931). From his fifth book, O outro livro de Job (1936), he began to sign his works with the pseudonym that made him famous. Very clean copy, retaining both brochure covers with the original narrow flaps (with slight imperfections on the periphery).
