PESSOANA.- Documentos (2) pessoais do poeta Fernando Pessoa Set consisting of the following documents: Volume II of the work “The history of Scotland during the reigns of Queen Mary and King James VI [...] in two volumes / by William Robertson (London, 1794; 21 cm) and an album with 30 newspaper clippings pasted onto 16 sheets (285 mm). The copy of the work on the History of Scotland presents, on the title page, the autograph signature of the poet F. A. N. Pessôa [Fernando António Nogueira Pessoa], which we can date approximately from his adolescence (± 1901-1905), a period during which Pessoa lived in Durban (South Africa). The volume of clippings includes some author popular poetry and others, published in Lisbon newspapers (only one of them identified as “Diário da Manhã”), namely Mendes Leal, Machado de Assis, Gomes Leal, Guerra Junqueiro, Tomás Ribeiro, Gil Vaz and Henrique Rosa. This last author (1850-1925) was the brother of João Miguel Rosa, Fernando Pessoa's stepfather.
