João Crisóstomo de Amorim Pessoa (1810-1888), Bishop of Santiago of Cape Verde (1860-1861), Archbishop of Goa (1862-1874) and Archbishop of Braga (1876-1883), coming from a descendant of one of his heirs. D. João Crisóstomo remained and resided effectively in Goa between 1863 and 1868. It was between those dates tha he was able to commission and/or acquire the table.
