Each volume (with two tomes) includes only one common cover. In front of the Folio + + 4 of the first volume there are two intaglio portraits, Camões and Faria e Sousa, with the particularity of that being represented blind of the left eye. In the fourth tome (bak of Folio Qqqq4 and front of folio Qqqq5), two large xylographic illustrations figuring a map-mundi. The beginning of each corner is adorned with an allusive vignette, open in copper plate. It also includes several xylographic illustrations, namely the portraits of Vasco da Gama, D. Francisco de Almeida, Afonso de Albuquerque and others. The specimen, very trimmed and with strong acidity, does not include the informacion en favor of Manvel de Faria and Sovsa..., which sometimes comes bound together. Entire flexible parchment of the time, a little tired, conserving the original guards on printed leaves and four of the eight leather laces.
