In the first printed sheet the following indication is given: Qvarta decada da Asia de Ioão de Barros [...] reformada accrescentada e illvstrada com notas e taboas geographicas por Ioão Baptista Lavanha. It is recalled that the first three reports were published in Lisbon, respectively in 1552, 1553 and 1563. However, the fourth report was already written by Diogo do Couto. And only in 1615 is published the fourth report that Barros had left incomplete and was completed by João Batista Lavanha. Incomplete copy, missing the six final numbered sheets with the index, and the three separately engraved maps accompanying the edition: Ilha de Ia[p]oa, Reino de Guzarate e Reino de Bengalla. In addition, a clean and well-kept copy, keeping intact (with only slight acidity) the intaglio engraved allegorical frontispiece.
