(not illustrated); volumes XV to XXX: Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux (231 engravings); volumes XXXI to XLI: Histoire des Animaux Quadrupèdes (306 engravings); volumes XLII to XLIII: Histoire Naturelle des Minéraux (not illustrated). The numbering of the volumes follows the numbering of the labels of the bindings. However, we believe that volume IV (Table des matières) with the wrong label (oiseaux) should correspond to a general index. Engravings should total 567 plus 6 folding maps. As the work has no índex of engravings thus making collation difficult, the set is sold in accordance to the conditions described. Entire racinée calf bindings of the time, fatigued, lacking some labels and presenting at the top of spines the monogram RJ. All volumes present two English heraldic ex-libris: Gen. Hon. Robert Taylor and Marquess of Headford.
