Edition widely intaglio (taille-douce) illustrated but of difficult collation due to the diversity of the engravings and their numbering. Apparently complete, not having been found any hiatus: separate numbered engravings from 1 to 81 (title page is No 1); plus 3 engrvings with letters A, B and C on preliminar pages; 97 full page engravings, printed near the text. Engravings 13 and 61 (separately) are to be found in the end, before page 391. The total of engravings is 181, 84 printed near the text and the remaining separately, most of them folding-out. Copy bearing several stamps of French Company of decoration (all the egravings are stamped). Slight handling and acidity; watertide stain (or fat?) affecting the last 12 engravings and 30 final leaves. A 20th century entire calf and solid binding without any gold engraving.
