Original entire binding of black Morocco leather with the label of Augustus Férin, bookseller and bookbinder. On the upper plan features the following inscription, framed in elaborate gold frame of gold irons: Lisbonense Company of printing and dyeing of Cotton - guest book - created on the occasion of the visit of his Majesty the King D. Luiz I of Portugal on June 30, 1883. This title repeats, handwritten, on the cover page. On the following leaf you will find the autograph message signed by D. Luiz I (5 lines); on the back, the signatures of the dignitaries accompanying the sovereign: Hintze Ribeiro, Count of Ficalho, Gen. Sousa Folque and Count of Arnoso. On the following leaves, many messages from visitors the last of which dates from May 17, 1917. To emphasize the messages dated April 16, 1890, from Sebastião de Magalhães Lima, and February 6, 1911, containing a flattering reference to the then technical director of the factory, José Cambournac.
