ANTÓNIO DE OLIVEIRA SALAZAR-1889-1970, correspondence of António de Oliveira Salazar to Francisco de Paula Leite Pinto.-20th C. (1965).-26 f.; 19 cm. + 4 Photographs. Francisco de Paula Leite Pinto (1902-2000), engineer, professor and politician of the Estado Novo (2nd Republic), was a native of Lisbon. Among the many positions he held, he was a member of the National Assembly, Prosecutor of the Corporative Chamber, Rector of the Technical University of Lisbon and Minister of education (1955-1961). This correspondence is addressed by the President of the Council of Ministers, António de Oliveira Salazar (1889-1970) to Francisco Leite Pinto, addressing particularly issues related to the Ministry of National Education, the National Board of Education, the Board of Nuclear Energy and other matters of State. The set, packed in lined green canvas portfolio, which covers the period from September 26, 1958 to February 1, 1967, consists of the following autograph documents: 2 embossed letters (3 + 4 f.), 19 embossed cards (11 x 14 cm.), 6 business cards and 9 leaves of notebooks. It also includes an answer draft handwritten by Leite Pinto (3 p.), a photocopy of a letter by Azeredo Perdigão (4 p.) and 4 colour photographs, all of them featuring Oliveira Salazar in relaxed casual gatherings.
