MANUEL MONTEIRO - 1667-1758 Father Manuel Monteiro (1767-1758), priest of the Congregation of the Oratory, was born in Oporto and was a member of the Royal Academy of History. The Edition consists of five extensive lapidary compliments, reporting the main actions of the five Portuguese monarchs who wore the name of João up to King D. João V. Erased ownership manuscript on the lower margin of the frontispiece; A1 leaf (beginning of the compliment to King D. João I) with some imperfections without lacking of support; very slight handling and occasional minor stains. Binding of the time, entire calf, recovered, with marbled paper guards.
