quinhentista veneziana, inteiramente impressa em caracteres
redondos. No verso da última folha, além do registo, apresenta o
seguinte cólofon:

Exemplar levemente aparado, com pequena mancha de tinta no
verso da última folha; de resto, muito limpo. Encadernação
inteira de carneira, recente (etiqueta de Frederido d’Almeida),
com aproveitamento de dois fragmentos gravados a ouro, da
encadernação original(?), com as iniciais AG no plano anterior
e CF no plano posterior, ladeando uma pequena representação
do Santo(?). Nebreda (Bibliographia Augustiniana), 57.

St. Augustine (354-430), Bishop of Hippo and one of the four
Fathers of the Western Church. The Confessions, along with the
City of God, are his most important works and deeply studied
and read in the West even today. 16th century Venetian Edition,
fully printed in round characters. Copy lightly trimmed with
small ink stain on the back of the last leaf; Moreover, very
clean. Full calf binding, recent (Frederido d’Almeida label), with
use of two gold engraved fragments of the original binding (?),
with AG initials in the fore plan and CF in the rear plan,
flanking a small representation of the Saint (?).
