Volume constituído por 26 folhas de cartolina, das quais apenas
6 foram preenchidas, de ambos os lados. Encadernação original,
inteira de marroquim negro, com a etiqueta de Augusto Férin,
livreiro encadernador. No plano superior apresenta a seguinte
inscrição gravada a ouro, enquadrada em elaborada moldura
de ferros dourados: Companhia Lisbonense de Estamparia
e Tinturaria de Algodões - Livro de Visitantes - creado por
occasião da visita de Sua Magestade El-Rei o Senhor D. Luiz Iº.
em 30 de Junho de 1883. Este título repete-se, caligrafado,
na folha de rosto. Na folha seguinte encontra-se a mensagem
autógrafa, assinada, de D. Luiz I (5 linhas); no verso, as
assinaturas dos dignatários que acompanhavam o soberano:
Hintze Ribeiro, conde de Ficalho, gen. Sousa Folque e conde de
Arnoso. Nas folhas seguintes, diversas mensagens de visitantes,
a última das quais data de 17 de Maio de 1917. De salientar
a mensagem datada de 16 de Abril de 1890, de Sebastião de
Magalhães Lima e a de 6 de Fevereiro de 1911, que contem
uma elogiosa referência ao então director-técnico da fábrica,
José Cambournac.

6 were filled on both sides. Original entire binding of black
Morocco leather with the label of Augustus Férin, bookseller
and bookbinder. On the upper plan features the following
inscription, framed in elaborate gold frame of gold irons:
Lisbonense Company of printing and dyeing of Cotton - guest
book - created on the occasion of the visit of his Majesty the
King D. Luiz I of Portugal on June 30, 1883. This title repeats,
handwritten, on the cover page. On the following leaf you will
find the autograph message signed by D. Luiz I (5 lines); on the
back, the signatures of the dignitaries accompanying the
sovereign: Hintze Ribeiro, Count of Ficalho, Gen. Sousa Folque
and Count of Arnoso. On the following leaves, many messages
from visitors the last of which dates from May 17, 1917. To
emphasize the messages dated April 16, 1890, from Sebastião
de Magalhães Lima, and February 6, 1911, containing a
flattering reference to the then technical director of the
factory, José Cambournac.
