Qing Dynasty - Qianlong Period (1736-1795), marked,
interior with two enamel slight scratches with 10 x 8 cm,
latter carved exotic wood stand (with faults and defects)

“The deep gently rounded sides rising from a recessed base to an incurved
lipped mouth, finely painted in characteristic palette of brilliant darker
and lighter green, pink, yellow, aubergine, iron-red and clear underglaze-blue
outlines, with five large lotus flower medallions divided by floral strapwork,
all between a border of multicoloured lappets around the base and pendent
ruyi-heads above, a further band of shaped panels enclosing florets between
leaves reserved on a blue ground below the rim.
The base with a wide unglazed ring around a white glazed circle bearing
the Qianlong mark (Zuanshu) in underglaze-blue.
The interior entirely plain. Two enamel slight scratches 10 x 8 cm”.
